Blackberry?

What exactly is a Blackberry and what are the advantages and disadvantages of getting one?

Blackberry is a product and service provided by Research In Motion. It started with PIM capabilities but now sports phone features and push mail technology. Now there are a lot players like Seven, Nokia Intellisync etc who provide push mail service but none is as popular as Blackberry because of its IT policy and blackberry enterprise server capabilities which makes the organization help connect key people over a secured network while being truly mobile.

Advantages:

I mentioned two above. Push mail (you don%26#39;t have to retrieve your mails, it comes to you automatically real time, and you can configure upto 10 e-mail accounts in it), Enterprise server, Keyboard design and usability (it was a pioneer to get QWERTY in Candybar design and its Suretype technology is a revolution), Blackberry web browser (its amazing and supports formats like HTML, xHTML, SVG and common image types, along with it you can also use a server-side component called the BlackBerry Enterprise Server to provide secure access to intranet sites)..

Disadvantages: I can%26#39;t think of many but it is not found asthetic enough by most (Pearl and Curve are exceptions to it ofcourse), heavy data charges, you can get lot of feature rich phones in the same price!!
