when i get text or e-mails on my blackberry pearl, for some reason they get deleted by its self.. like for example, me and my friend morgan were texting each other and there was about 20 text messages so far, then my friend jake messaged me and all of a sudden all of morgans text dissapeared..

why is it doing that?

Maybe somethings wrong with the game or the battery is just completely dead, u could look a playstation for support ok this had happened to me before it is either your game is scratched or sumthin or you just need to clean the inside of ur psp and you game, do this by blowing the psp insides and wipe the psp game it happens to me too i think it is a glitch

When I am charging my GPS from a car charger there is a light to tell me that it is connected but the battery is not being charged.

When the GPS is being charged from the mains there is no problem.

If you are, do not use it. The voltage supplied is not pure DC and is not regulated. It could damage your GPS.

If you mean the cigarette lighter socket, with an adaptor lead, the lead is probably faulty (they often have a fuse built in, check it)

Connectivity issues are one of the biggest complaints in the cell phone industry. Try this website and read about this issue. I bought this unit a few weeks ago, and it is still under manufacturers warranty, however the screen is obviously not covered. The unit fell from a significant distance and broke the LCD and the glass in front of the display and behind the digitizer. I took the unit apart and found that the display is an all in one piece, and has several numbers printed on the back. I called Magellan but they told me that sending the entire unit in for repairs is my only option. I refuse to believe this, I feel like there is a surplus or as-is store out there that I don%26#39;t know about that has a shelf full of these 3.5" LCD screens. Any input would be greatly appreciated - I would love to get this thing working again without paying inflated %26#39;repair%26#39; costs on a device that was so easy to disassemble a 5 year old could do it. - Please Note - If your answer will say - send it in or call Magellan, please don%26#39;t bother. First you must go here and download the File on this website:

Next you must go to wherever the file is and rename to "EBOOT.PBP" in capital letters.

Then you just plug in your PSP and go into the PSP folder then the the Game folder.

Once you are in the Game folder you make a new folder and call it "UPDATE" in capital letters.

Then put the "EBOOT.PBP" file in the "UPDATE" folder.

Finally you must take out your PSP. Have it over 75% charge level. Go to game then to memory stick and Update 3.50 should come up.

Launch it and accept everything that comes up. Wait until a blue bar is at 100% and then press X to Restart. Turn it on and check if its a 3.50. I think you should know how to check the firmware.

For the best firmware out there I am not sure. Don%26#39;t listen to that jojo guy because you can hack a 3.50. Ok i forget the website but just search on google: PSP version 3.50 free download and it will be on the first page thats wat i did Don%26#39;t do it man, sony has put security patch on 3.5 so you will not be able to get free games, try custom firmware. the only reason to upgrade is if you have a ps3.. if you dont, all you do is add extra crappy features.

you won%26#39;t find that cheap for those recent models, but ebay might have other older models for the budget. You can get an 8800 or 8300 (Curve) for $200 with activation through AT%26T. I would recommend that model over an 8700.

To unlock the phone, check for services on Ebay. You might find some used/slightly used BB 8800%26#39;s there in the price range you are looking for.

Treo 600 is the last model of Treo that was off the shelf compatible with T-Mobile. T-Mobile no longer has a contract with Palmone. This leaves you with two options. One, purchase a Treo 600 or older phone. Second, find and purchase an "unlocked" Treo. Unlocked means that the phone is GSM compatible. I must warn you that an unlocked phone is going to cost substansially more. Unlocked phones can not be purchased through T-Mobile. Your best bet is to make your purchase online and price compare.

The RIZR! i have it and love it. fist, the texture is easy 2 grip and just comfortable. the KRAZR i believe is also heavier. the RIZR is a slider which i like. the camera is 2 mega pixels which is great and its on the back. there is a camera button on the side so you cane actually close the phone and take ur picture..it looks just like a regular camera. you can change the filter wen u take a picture, there is color, black and white, blueish, reddish, antique,greenish and negative. u also have 8xzoom. another great feature..it has a light/flash for when you take a picture. u can also take video. the keypad is harder then the razr, so it makes for easier txting and overall usage. u have im on it. a music player, which i love.theres a calculator, a alarm and a date book, so u can put appointments in.ring tones song great on it. the speakers are just great. the onli bad thing is that the UI i a lil slow but not to and extent that it is bothersome. i have the blue 1. and the tattoo on the back is a nice touch. hope this helps. email if any questions. It really depends if you take keep your electronics clean, if you do then get the white DS, it doesn%26#39;t show smudges on the outside,but the inside could get very dirty if you don%26#39;t clean it. If you don%26#39;t keep then clean, then get the blue one because on the inside it wont show the dirt because of the darker color. I would think more teenagers buy the PSP and younger children go with the DS. I own both and my PSP has so many more uses. I uploaded all of my pictures, music, and videos on there (with the upgraded memory card) so it does a lot more then just play video games. I found the graphics to be much better on the PSP as well as the sound. I get annoyed with the DS having to use the touch stick to play most of the games and a lot of people have had problems with the touch screen, the first one I bought did not work at all and had to be returned. I use my PSP all the time and I have not used my DS in months! definately go for the nokia n95, you cant lose. simply the iPhone HTC 8525. It also has wifi. If you are used to Nokia%26#39;s navigation (which is by the way the best I have experienced so far), opt fo N95. You will be getting some of the software you require directly with this phone. The rest you could top-up from any good mobile software storefront (http://www.youpark.com or http://www.nclubsoft.com for example). i believe the wing and dash come out 2 about 200 or so. i dont remember specifically. i would go with the wing. i have seen it and worked with it. i feel the speed is fair, or on the upper hand of fair rather. lol i do like the keyboard. it is very easy 2useand the keys are of a good size. the blackberry%26#39;s is much smaller. also, what kind of os r u more comfortable with, b/c the wing has windows mobile, which i find very convenient. im familiar with windows mobile [b/c i have a pda] so i would go with that. lastly, the material on the outside of the wing is similar to the feel of the moto rizr. this gives nice grip. hope this helps black berry The only problems I heard about is only related to antenna strength and that can be fixed with an external antenna if you live in a rural area like me! I bought a PDA and quite honestly it is up there as one of the most useless things I have ever bought.

My advice would be to give very serious consideration to the alternatives to Microsoft Pocket PC operating system driven PDA%26#39;s. I blame Microsoft Pocket PC for my extreme disappointment with my (Acer) PDA, it over complicates everything while offering little flexibility in configuration and operation. It%26#39;s their way or no way.

The touch screen stylus operation of Pocket PC driven PDA%26#39;s is a pain. It is frustratingly slow and fiddly.

Take a good look at Blackberry%26#39;s and any other device with a physical keyboard, however small, even one of the more competent smartphones from the likes of Nokia. Get onto vodaphone

i got a V1605 smartphone wm5 for ￡100 plus a contract.

got rid of my phone and old pda into one. Dell, HP and Axim are all good names to go for in the PDA market. Axim are the budget end, but they product good quality despite the lower price tag. Dell are the power option, and HP make the always excellent iPaq range.

For that money you should be able to get a good mid-range PDA new, or a very good top-range second hand. It is worth your while checking out eBay for second hand PDAs, as my husband got a Dell Axim 51v for under ￡150, and that%26#39;s the most powerful PDA on the market.

My impression is that the N770 has the strongest browser of the three, but relies strictly on an on-screen keyboard for text input, which would (IMO) be very tedious for email, much less actual writing.

Personally, I would opt for a TX instead of a LifeDrive - they have a better response time and are generally more reliable, in my experience.

For your application, however, I would assume the real dealbreaker would be the input method - You might want to try dropping by a electronics store that still offers PDAs (CompUSA did last I checked...) and try the various handheld input techniques out to see what suits you best.

I had the Sprint PDA and it did freeze alot, so I switch to the Treo. My Treo has frozen from time to time, but not nearly as much as the sprint. The Treo is great as well is the Mogul.they are just different operating systems, like a PC and a Mac. The windows mobile phone (Mogul) is going to freeze more and give you more headaches as far as battery life, but it is far more upgradable and also will get better reception and call quality. The Treo is a better beginners PDA because it%26#39;s extremely easy to use, and will have less software issues, but will have more call quality issues. I currently use the Mogul and LOVE it, I also just got one for my fiance who has never had a PDA and she can%26#39;t put it down! I%26#39;ve used Palm PDAs in the past and they don%26#39;t seem to be durable and always have calling issues, but the new 755 seems a ton better.

Obviously there are features that the sidekick 3 has that the sidekick id doesn%26#39;t have. It sounds like those features aren%26#39;t important to you. I would recommend trying both of them out and seeing which one you think feels the best. I would get the sidekick 3 just because it is a newer phone, but like I said, see which one feels the best. I compared the two phones on the T-Mobile website. I found that the sidekick 3 has bluetooth, and camera/video. The Sidekick ID does not. In addition, the sidekick id operates on 850 and 1900 frequency only. The sidekick 3 operates on 850, 1900 and 1800 Mhz. According to the T-Mobile website, the only advantage that the ID has over the 3 is the T-Mobile Web.

Honestly, I wouldnt get either one of these because there are better phones out there. The Sidekick 3 is internationally compatible with worldwide GSM service. Battery life is good and the only thing I had to do with mine is install a cell phone antenna on my house because I live far out in the country. I previously had the treo650 and it was a great phone, i recently upgraded to the mogul. This phone really meets any and all needs that you can think of. Like you said texting is quick and easy. There is the built in wifi so when in a hot spot you can turn it on and not use any of your data plan if you have a limited on. The internet on it is very quick, and will upgrade in the fall when they release EVDO Rev. A. The setting up the phone to access email via outlook is very quick and easy to configure. Years ago we purchased a phone and had to return it for poor signal strength the ones we traded for did work better (had more bars). We started having trouble with the carrier (t-Mobil) after a couple of years and it got so bad we left and broke the contract. (oops expensive over site, one phone still had a few months to go) Anyway we went with sprint and I give it a 99 out of 100. We really never have any issues. NO echo back. Full reception in the house. Hardly ever a dropped call. if this company is a 99 then T-Mobil was a 2 that%26#39;s how bad it got. But it all depends on your area. I think sprint gives you 30 days to change your mind and If you set up thru Costco you will have no sign up fees. Reception doesn%26#39;t matter on the phone, it matters on the company. If one company has really bad reception every phone from that company will have bad reception. I use sprint and that works just about everywhere. I have some friends that really like Verizon too!

Why is my new sidekick 3 limited addition Dwade doing this?

So i just got my new sidekick yesterday and when i got out of the store i was checking everything and then i thought i%26#39;d test it. So i turned it off and then i turned it back on and first the screen said "Network data services are currently unavailable. Either your GPRS APN setting is incorrect or your account is not configured for GPRS." and then i pressed okay. after i pressed okay the screen said "A welcome screen will appear within 48 hours after purchase. If it does not, call Customer Care to check your account status. Until then, press (some symbol) to place emergency calls." and the screen keeps on waiting for activation. They did this all at the T-mobile store and i saw a welcome screen while they did it! Why is it doing this again? I really don%26#39;t know what%26#39;s up with my phone. I%26#39;m only 14.

Lol. This is normal. I have the Sidekick 3 and I am 14 also. It%26#39;s a GREAT phone by the way! Anyway, it will take up to 48 hours for it to come to the welcome screen and be working normally. Lucky for me mine took 2 hours and a half. This is because its waiting for activation. Just hold out. Will a blackberry curve fit in my pants pocket?

Im really considering getting a blackberry curve, Im just afraid it wont fit in my pants pocket, I ahve heard guys say it fits in their but their pockets are much larger than girls, so anyone who has a blackberry curve could u let me know if it would fit in my pocket?

But seriously, NEVER EVER EVER put a Blackberry with a trackball in your pocket. Ever. Seriously. You know how on the mice with the balls (who has them anymore, right?) your desk would get dirty, and then you would roll your mouse on it, and the gunk would get in the mouse ball, and then the ball wouldn%26#39;t roll as well, and you would have to clean it?

Well, that problem also happens on the Blackberries with the trackballs, except you can%26#39;t take it apart and clean it. The number one cause of this issue? Pocket lint. Seriously, I talked to someone who works for the Blackberry manufacturer, and that%26#39;s what they always find in the defective ones that get sent back to them. I work for a cell phone carrier in Blackberry tech support, and I probably do 10 warranty exchanges a week because of this. When the phones go out of warranty, the people will be screwed.

So, the short answer: Don%26#39;t worry if it can fit in your pocket, because if you%26#39;re smart, you%26#39;ll be keeping it in a case anyway, even if it does look a little geeky.

Will a mini sd card (more than 2 gb) work in my slvr?

2 is the limit I think and to be honest that is plenty if you know how to convert the files. I%26#39;ve got a 1 gig in my razr and it%26#39;s got 4 movies and 200 song on it. for your audio try (A-one 3gp video converter),you will have some settings to pick(it can be trial and error) but once you find the one that works for your phone your set. It can shrink a movie down to 300 or 400 bytes from 1 gig or smaller. for audio try (Im too mpeg encoder) it lets you flip formats and shrink the file. Good luck P.S don%26#39;t buy your sd card at the at%26t store. it%26#39;s way over priced. Radio Shack has everyting you need to load up your card and it way cheaper. I paid 19 bucks for my 1 gig micro mini and at%26t wanted 79.00

Will It Harm My iPhone Battery? (For iPhone Owners, again)?

What happens if I take my iPhone off the charger while it%26#39;s still charging? Will it harm it? Because I did.

yes it did stay the same just don%26#39;t do that all the time and better charge it at night time when you are sleeping so when you wake up in the morning is ready to go. I%26#39;m sure it wont hurt it too badly. I have never heard that taking a phone off the charger while it%26#39;s still charging will harm the phone. This is not a USB cable, but a Video-out cable, which needs a Video-Out port. This port is available only in the new PSP Slim and not the old one.

Unfortunately you cannot view through this cable. But i think you can view it with a modded old PSP. Hard way though.

Though I have both a DS and a PSP and they are both hacked. I would say just buy both. I can%26#39;t decide which one better b/c on one it has some things that the other does not. My buddies always want to play with my DS and another wants to play with my PSP. I am happy equally with both of them. Personally - I wouldn%26#39;t know much. However, my best friend is a huge gamer, knows a lot about games %26 systems and would hands down recommend a DS. tried ds.its got cool classic games.but i have a psp..it was the stuff when i first got it.i downgraded it to play homebrew..you can get any game you whant...old or new..now i dont even use it...but hey i know if i whant to play a game that came out i can just plug my psp to my computer and away i go...

Youtube to PocketPC no more?

I used to watch youtube on my pocketpc using the software: Skunkworks FlashVideoBundle and TCPMP (the core pocket media player) in combo. Sometime; within the last 4 day this method has no longer worked for me. However; I can still view veoh, metacafe ect. Does anyone know why this is (don%26#39;t tell me to goto m.youtube.com) or does anyone know some other software that might work?

Z22 palm, how do i turn it off, and does it support blue tooth connection?

ok, first question, how do i turn the thing off?? i cant have it turned on on flights, pushing the button to make it black keeps it open,alerts keep on popping, anyone have a solution?

I wanted to know how to add programs to my blackberry pearl i know some programs but i dont know which folder to save them in under blackberry.

It sounds like you%26#39;re mounting the Pearl as an external storage device and trying to copy files, that%26#39;s not how you add software.

One way to add software is "Over-the-Air". Simply use your browser to point to the software you want to download (usually posted as a "JAD" or "JAR" file) and follow the prompts.

Otherwise, you need to run the "Desktop Manager". If you installed the software that came with your Pearl, this will be available at "Start"-%26gt;"BlackBerry"-%26gt;"Deskto...

Manger".

From the desktop manager (and while your Pearl is connected), choose "Add Programs". Then browse your file system looking for the "ALX" file of the program. Choose next and follow the prompts.
