First you must go here and download the File on this website:

Next you must go to wherever the file is and rename to "EBOOT.PBP" in capital letters.

Then you just plug in your PSP and go into the PSP folder then the the Game folder.

Once you are in the Game folder you make a new folder and call it "UPDATE" in capital letters.

Then put the "EBOOT.PBP" file in the "UPDATE" folder.

Finally you must take out your PSP. Have it over 75% charge level. Go to game then to memory stick and Update 3.50 should come up.

Launch it and accept everything that comes up. Wait until a blue bar is at 100% and then press X to Restart. Turn it on and check if its a 3.50. I think you should know how to check the firmware.

For the best firmware out there I am not sure. Don%26#39;t listen to that jojo guy because you can hack a 3.50. Ok i forget the website but just search on google: PSP version 3.50 free download and it will be on the first page thats wat i did Don%26#39;t do it man, sony has put security patch on 3.5 so you will not be able to get free games, try custom firmware. the only reason to upgrade is if you have a ps3.. if you dont, all you do is add extra crappy features.

i havent even played a umd game in quite some time... ive been getting into the emulators.
