Blackberry users, please help!?

Hi there,

I%26#39;m a first time Blackberry user, and I%26#39;m having a bit of a problem with my Blackberry software. I downloaded an updated version of the software for my 7290 and when I installed it, it erased my internet and emailing options (i.e. they are no longer on my menu) as well as a few other things. I%26#39;ve tried downloading the old version of the software again, which has replaced the new one on my computer, but I can%26#39;t seem to use it to reset the settings on the actual Blackberry. Does anyone know how I can fix this? I.e. how I can install the old software back onto my blackberry?

Cheers

Answers:

If you did a backup before you wiped and reinstalled all the applications, you may be able to restore all the old settings. However, it sounds as if that is not the case. Updating the OS and applications resets everything.

You will probably need to contact your service provider for the specific settings necessary for email and internet access. They may have a link to a configuration file that you can download to the BB. i am also new to the world of blackberry i have the curve. this may or may not help but have you looked into your advance settings options to see if the software is there there is software in that folder. blackberry renegade
