dell axim x51v - the v is important as its a true VGA screen that%26#39;s 640 by 480 not qvga- 320 by 240 like the x51
its a good all rounder I have a sony Clie Th-55(not sold anymore) which uses netfront as a wifi browser. A couple of things you should know:
1. If there is an unlocked Wifi signal you first have to scan it and lock into it.
2. You have to set the energy consumption to "stay on"
3. You have to have enough memory space to process the webpage and delete saved info to keep enough space for more browsing.
That said you can get a windows mobile or a palm pda. The TX or the TE2 could browse the web but you have to buy a wifi card or use bluetooth in the TE2. The Lifedrive also had wifi but is also discontinued. Some of the new smart phones also have wifi, so if you are in the market for a pda/phone combination go to a cell phone dealer.
Newly into wifi are the handheld game devices like PSP and Nintendo DS. Go to one of the fanboy sites and find out more from them. I%26#39;ve had a couple of PDA%26#39;s and my most recent one is the HTC Mogul (6800) that I received yesterday. Most pda%26#39;s web browsers will give you a simpler downsized version of a website, but the Mogul (which runs on Sprint%26#39;s network) gives you the actual site, not a simpler version. I surfed with IPAQ from HP
