Broadband question and Blackberry 7250?

I was trying to get on Broadband through Verizon today but I guess my Blackberry needs to be a "newer" Blackberry.

Is this true? Is there anyway around having to buy a newer blackberry so we can get online via our phone to get our laptop to work?

Answers:

If you%26#39;re trying to use your blackberry as a tethered modem, it is entirely true that the 7250 blackberry can be used in that manner, as long as you have Windows 2000/XP/Vista (this handy chart will show that, and it%26#39;s also the site you%26#39;ll need to use to download the VZ access manager software: http://www.vzam.net/). You will have to have a "BBA connect" feature added to your account in order to use this feature(about $15 a month, and no, there is no way around it), then download the software on the site I provided. It%26#39;ll pretty much tell you step by step what to do from there. So it%26#39;s not that your phone is "too old"...it%26#39;s probably that you don%26#39;t have the feature on your account or don%26#39;t have the software downloaded...or both.
