Can I add numbers from my desktop using Desktop Manger for my Blackberry Perl?

I just got a Blackberry Perl 8100, and I was wondering if I can use my laptop to add/edit numbers then sync it back to the cell. Please help.

Thanks

Answers:

You can use the Desktop Manager to import/export/synch using various programs such as Outlook and Outlook Express.

Also, the Desktop Manager software does have an option to import/export ascii text files. I have never used it, but it might be worth a try.

If you have Excel, you can easily set up a spreadsheet with the name and phone fields. Once you have that set up, save the spreadsheet as a comma separate values file (CSV). You can also use a semicolon or tab format if you are using another program. You can import/export this data with the Desktop Manager on the the BB under the Synch applet, in configuration settings.
