Apple iPhone predicted to be sold out like the Wii, but ends up like a PS3... WHY?

Please read and respond with opinions and/or other features it does or does not have.

The PS3 was sold out for the first couple of weeks, but died a horrible death because for the cost of the PS3, one could buy a MS Xbox 360 AND a Nintendo Wii!.

Same with the Apple iPhone! Went for $1500-$2000 at first (on ebay), but is having a hard time selling even at $700 with buy-it-now!

WHY?

-Lacks an external memory storage slot!

-Cannot use your iTune songs as ringtones! (what was apple thinking, i could do that on my old treo 700w running Windows Mobile!)

-VOICE DIALING

-3G Internet access

-Word/Excel Support (understandable)

-cannot be used as a modem

-doesn%26#39;t support 3%26#39;rd party apps (Steve Jobs announced that this will not be allowed due to the threat to the reliability to the phone%26#39;s operating system)

-Cannot be synced to Microsoft Outlook

-No Physical buttons or keyboard

-8gb storage cannot be used as storage for files

-RESPOND WITH OTHER FEATURES IT LACKS

Answers:

Maybe you should give it a bit of time--it%26#39;s only just come out! See how much of a failure it is in a few months time. But never underestimate the power of the fanboys, that will propel the iPhone for a while yet... Who knows? Maybe it%26#39;ll get a few updates to release useful features and turn out not so bad. Certainly could do with some work right now though! I don%26#39;t think there%26#39;s ever been a time where people have camped out for a CELL PHONE. I would NOT say this was a "PS3." It does, however, have many problems, but it will probably be the most successful cell phone once 2008 comes, and they release version 2.

Also, Apple has been stockpiling the phone for nearly 3 months before they released it. Something sony wasn%26#39;t smart enough and/or able to do due to manufacturing issues.
