When you scroll on your blackberry there should be all the icons one of the icons should read "Turn Wireless ON" when you see that either press the trackball or the trackwheel depending on the model of the Blackberry and it will start to search for the network. It seems to me that you accidentally activated the flight mode -- which lets the phone stay on but not signed on to your provider%26#39;s network therefore any thing such as phone call or sending or receiving text or emails will not work unless it is signed on.
